But nobody, not even the angels posted in Heaven or the Son, knows when the Uber Man will come. Only the Father knows. 37 His coming will mirror what took place in the time of Noah. 38 Back in those days, before the great flood, people were living routine lives—eating, drinking, starting families, etc. Then Noah boarded the ark. 39 No one saw it coming, and no one knew what was happening until the flood was upon them and they were all swept away.
The coming of the Uber Man will be just as surprising.
40 Two men will be out working in the field. One will be swept away and the other left behind. 41 Two women will be grinding flour at the mill. One will be swept away and the other left behind.
42 This is why you need to be alert and ready! You don’t know what day your Lord is coming. 43 Act like the homeowner who hears that a thief is planning to break into his house. So he stays home, alert, and on guard to thwart the intruder.
44 Likewise, you should maintain a state of readiness, because you really don’t know when the Uber Man is coming.
