Exodus 34:6-7

GOD passed in front of Moses and declared his name, saying, “I am Yahweh, GOD — the God who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, teeming with loyal love and faithfulness. I faithfully extend this kindness to thousands of generations. However, while I forgive sinful evildoers who turn against me, I’m not a pushover! My kindness is immeasurable, but I continue to hold people’s feet to the fire, keeping them responsible to the second, third, and fourth generations. I won’t neglect to punish the guilty.
